You can choose to be patient

Sometimes patience comes out of obligation, but more often than not, when I’m showing patience to another person it’s because I love them.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. (1 Corinthians 13:4-5)
