Why does worship matter to God?
May 30 - June 3, 2022 | Always Peachy Devotionals | Worship Week 5
June is almost here!
Isn’t that amazing? I hope you have had a delightful May. I am really excited about the topic that’s coming up in June, but I think I’ll keep it a secret for one more week.
Worship has been a really important thing to think about and learn about this month. At least, it has been for me. I tend to get caught in the rut of thinking that worship is just singing. Well, it’s not. It’s living. It’s doing everything I do for Jesus.
If you had a favorite devotional this week, let me know in the comments. And if you have a guess (or a wish) about what the topic next month is going to be, share your thoughts too!
For this final week on Worship, we’re going to be talking about why worship matters to God. He talks about it all the time throughout the Bible, so it has to matter to Him. But can we know why?
Yup. God has told us everything we need to know about worship, and that includes why it matters to Him. Here’s what we’re looking at this week:
May 30 - It sets us apart
May 31 - It pleases Him
June 1 - It reminds us who we are
June 2 - It reminds us what He’s done
June 3 - It’s our choice
I can’t wait. Thank you all so much for how you read and comment faithfully. I am trying to do a better job of being present to respond, but you may need to give me a little bit more grace. This week I am actually teaching at a conference in North Carolina, so I’m going to be around even less than normal. But you’ll still get devotions!! I promise!
For our memory verse this week, we’re going to work on one that’s a little longer than normal. But it’s really important, and it’s usually considered an essential verse for understanding what real worship is. This is Romans 12:1.
Worship is a lifestyle. It’s not just singing songs. So whatever you’re doing in your life today, do it for Jesus. That, my friends, is true worship.
Blessings
Amy

The Tabernacle Builder's Gift would probably be my favorite. That one especially resonated with me. Thanks so much for all the time and creative energy you put into these devotionals, Amy! You truly have a gift, and a heart for Him.
