What a week!
I don’t know about you guys, but I have desperately needed everything I’ve been studying about attitude this month. Even things I already knew are important for me to remind myself of when life gets so crazy!
For me, I need to know how to define a godly attitude, and that’s where we started last week. But as we move forward, we’re going to get a little bit more specific. This week we’re going chat a bit about why having a godly attitude matters.
Let’s get honest here for a second, y’all. Choosing a good attitude is hard. If it doesn’t matter, then why would we do it? But if having a good attitude will affect more than my immediate circumstances, shouldn’t it be something we pursue? Of course! But I need to know what it’s going to affect! What will my attitude cause? What difference does it make if I have a good attitude or not? And is that something Scripture backs up?
You bet it is.
So this week we’re talking about why it matters that we have a godly attitude. Want a preview?
January 10 - Your attitude is a tool
January 11 - Joy keeps you healthy
January 12 - Ego lets the enemy in
January 13 - Your life is louder than gossip
January 14 - I don’t represent myself
For this week’s memory verse, we’re continuing with the Beattitudes.
God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.
Matthew 5:5-6
Sounds great, doesn’t it?
I hope you all are having a wonderful January. Please know that I pray for you and that I’m asking the Lord to be more real in your life today than He was yesterday.
