If you grew up in church, you probably have a complicated relationship with worship. You may define worship differently based on what variation of Christianity you claim. Some denominations are reserved; others are demonstrative and loud. Some sing a capella; others have full orchestras. Some sing only hymns; others write their own songs.

Worship is more than music, of course, and the Lord has been very specific in the way He wants to be worshiped. More on that later. But while worship’s appearance may change from denomination to denomination, what should never change is the object of our worship.
