Where can you walk with faith?
October 3 - October 7, 2022 | Always Peachy Devotionals | Walking With Faith Week 1
Hello, friends!
Happy October! I am so delighted that fall is finally here, even if it doesn’t quite feel like fall yet. I don’t care. I’m eating all the pumpkin-things and pulling out my sweaters and hats and fuzzy socks in eager anticipation of the day the temps drop low enough to enjoy them.
You folks who are in the Always Peachy Community on Facebook are to thank for this month’s theme: Walking With Faith. And if you haven’t joined the Facebook community, please know that you’re invited!
I used to compartmentalize everything in my life. It felt easier to keep track of things that way, and if that’s how you think, that’s great. Being able to organize your life in a way that makes sense to you is important, but where does your faith fall in your compartmentalized life?
If your faith is tucked away in its own little box and it has no influence on the rest of your life, you’re in trouble. Faith should affect every area of our lives. It shouldn’t be something you dust off when you go to church or Bible study and put back on the shelf when you get home.
So for the month of October we’re going to talk about practical faith. Everyday faith. What it looks looks like and how to have it. We’re starting this week with where faith shows up in in our lives:
October 3 - At work
October 4 - At home
October 5 - At church
October 6 - With friends
October 7 - With family
This is going to be a great month of getting real about walking with faith, and I can’t wait to dive into these topics with you.
Also, our memory verse for this week may sound a bit familiar. I’ve met many people who have chosen this verse as their life verse, but whether you already know it or not, it’s a wonderful truth to have tucked away in your heart for the moments you don’t know which way to go. This week, we’re memorizing Proverbs 3:5-6.
Isn’t it wonderful to know that our security is in God’s hands? He’s the one who is holding on to us. He’s the one with the directions. Even when life doesn’t make sense to us, it always makes sense to Him. That’s why He’s worth following. He never gets lost, and He’ll always show us the right way to go. We just have to trust Him.
Praying for each of you this week, that God would make Himself known to you, and that He will grow all of us in our faith through this journey in His Word.
Love you guys!
Amy
