Hello, my friends!
We’ve got several new faces around here, so if you feel so inclined, please introduce yourself in the comments section down below. We’re all part of this community seeking God together, and I am so glad you are all here.
The Lord has truly been challenging me with the theme for February. Obedience is tough on a good day, but what about the bad days? With my pride and rebelliousness, I usually take one look at what God is asking me to do and run the opposite direction.
But God, in His mercy, doesn’t let me get away with that very long. He has always chased me down and gently prodded me until I turn my eyes toward Him and remember who He is and who I am in Him.
The thing about obedience is that it doesn’t always make sense. So wouldn’t it be nice to have some examples of what obedience looks like?
Funny you should ask. We have this amazing book called the Bible, and it happens to provide just that. So that’s what we’ll be talking about this week. Obedience in action, straight from the pages of Scripture.
February 7 - The Story of Joseph of Nazareth
February 8 - The Story of Abraham
February 9 - The story of Noah
February 10 - The Story of Shiphrah and Puah
February 11 - The Story of Hagar
I am so excited to share what I’ve learned about obedience from these five stories, and I pray that it’s as much a blessing to you as it’s been to me.
This week we’re also going to be memorizing a new Scripture verse, John 14:15.
Whew. Easy to say, but tough to live, right?
Thank you all for being part of this wonderful community. If it’s been a blessing to you, please spread the word to everyone you know.
Praying that your week is full of amazing God-experiences and that He speaks to you in a way you can’t ignore.
All my love, friends.
Amy
