There’s always a bigger fish
God had too much to do in the world through Paul to allow Paul to be proud. God can’t help proud people, because proud people won’t accept help.
So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. (2 Corinthians 12:7b)
