Be the person you want others to be

Nobody likes being lied to. I don’t. I don’t like it when people complain about me or blame me unfairly. I don’t like it when people gossip about me either. Or get angry at me. It’s hurtful.

So, you know what I do?

I don’t do any of those things to anyone else. I do my best not to lie. I try not to complain or place blame on someone simply because they’re an easy target. I don’t gossip. And generally I don’t get angry AT people, unless I’m driving. (I’m still working on that one.)

It seems like a pretty simple strategy, doesn’t it? Like it can’t possibly work. But it does.

There’s a reason why we call it the Golden Rule.
