It's better to obey than to be eaten alive, right?

When you were a kid, did you ever try to hide something from a parent or a teacher? Were you good at it?

No, I wasn’t either. I mean, some of that was because I am practically incapable of lying. My facial expressions give me away long before I even attempt to deceive someone. (No, I won’t play poker with you.)

Kids are just awkward when it comes to trying to conceal the truth from a grown up. Even if the adult can see right through them, they try to hide it anyway.
