It's not about me (or you)
Worship changes us from the inside out.
When you’re down in the dumps, how do you cheer up? Sure, distraction can play a role at times when it comes to getting out of your head, but distractions are usually temporary.
When I’m upset or anxious or scared, I don’t just want to think about something that distracts me. I want to focus on something good that isn’t going to change. I want to remind myself that there is meaning and purpose in my struggles.
This is what worship does in my heart. It’s a reminder that my life, my challenges, and even my victories aren’t about me.
