How will you share your gifts?
December 25-29, 2023 | Always Peachy Devotionals | God's Gifts Week 4
It’s Christmas Eve!
I hope you and your family are enjoying the holiday season together and that you’re all happy and healthy. Praise God for another year to celebrate His precious gift to us.
Jesus is the greatest gift that was ever given to humanity. He is God’s gift to us, the entire world, so that we can experience abundant life on Earth and eternal life in heaven. Amazing! What a wonderful, awesome God we serve!
This month we’ve been talking about gifts, and I hope you’ve learned as much as I have. But this week as we move into the last week of the year, it’s time to get practical. Because we’ve accepted that spiritual gifts aren’t just for us to use for ourselves; they’re to share with everyone around us, specifically the church.
So that’s what we’re going to talk about this week: If we’re supposed to be sharing our gifts, how exactly are we supposed to do that?
Dec 25 - Don’t just use them for yourself (1 Corinthians 15:25-27)
Dec 26 - Tell others about where you got them (1 Corinthians 1:30-31)
Dec 27 - Tell others about how you got them (Titus 3:4-7)
Dec 28 - Invite others to have God’s gifts too (2 Corinthians 5:11)
Dec 29 - Small gifts are still gifts (Philippians 2:13)
I’m so excited to hear how God has used this study to bless and encourage each of you. Jesus is such a Gift to all of us that we can’t help but share Him with everyone. At least, that’s how it should be, but I’m not sure we think about Him from that perspective.
That’s what made me think about our verse to memorize this week, 2 Corinthians 5:20.
I love this verse. I love what it stands for, what it means. We are Jesus’ ambassadors. We represent Jesus and God Himself when we interact with the people of the world. We are there to tell them about the new life and transformational love we’ve found in Jesus. It’s not just for us. It’s for everyone. And if they want to be transformed, all they have to do is ask.
Salvation is a gift. That’s the whole point. It’s not about us. It’s all about Jesus.
Who do you need to talk to about Jesus today? Who is that person in your life who needs to hear what Jesus has done for you? There’s no better day to share the gift of Jesus’ love with someone who needs it than Christmas Eve.
All my love to each of you, to your families, and to your loved ones. Have a blessed Christmas, my friends.
Hugs,
Amy
