God doesn't motivate through guilt

Do you only follow God because He makes you feel guilty about it?

Has guilt ever motivated you to do something? I’ve found myself in lots of different situations, responsible for many things outside my skill set, simply because I felt guilty for saying no.

Maybe you went on a trip with someone you don’t like. Maybe you took a job you weren’t confident in. Maybe you agreed to volunteer for something you hate doing.

I have. In all three examples (and in others too). And every time, I eventually regretted it. I’ve had to learn not to make guilt-based choices, because they never come from God.
