I played a lot of video games in high school. Not that I was any good at them. But I did enjoy them.
Now in the early 90s, many console video games had both a single player and a multi-player mode. My brother and I made good use of the multi-player option, but there was a problem. Before you could play the really cool characters, you had to beat game in single player mode.
I was stuck. I couldn’t beat the game. I wasn’t good enough. I didn’t have the hand-eye coordination I needed, and I certainly didn’t have the focus.
