A goat got loose in my church once. Basically we were performing an Easter play with live animals, and not all of the goats got rounded up after their scene was done. It was pretty funny, actually.

The goat wasn’t malicious. It was just being a goat. Jumping, running, skipping—doing what goats do. But inside a church during an Easter play when Jesus is teaching the Lord’s prayer isn’t really a great time or place for a goat to be a goat.

The stage crew had to chase it down, corner it, and take it away. Not because the goat was bad, but because at that moment, it wasn’t helping. It was a distraction.
