Don't be ashamed of your weakness

When God keeps working without your elbow grease, you’ll see that God’s power doesn’t depend on your performance.

What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever. (1 Corinthians 15:50)

Nobody likes limitations. There’s something in the human spirit that pushes back whenever someone tells us we can’t do something or go somewhere. Know what that’s called? It’s called our sin nature.

Sure there are some things in life that are human rights, and the Bible is very clear on those things. But there are many things we want to do that God says will harm us, and we can’t NOT want those things because we are flawed.
