Have you ever noticed that God is a master of the unexpected? I don’t want to call it a sneak attack, but I swear, that’s what He does. He likes to let me get myself in over my head, and then He shows up in some way I don’t expect to make everything turn out all right.

It’s like His trademark or something. He never does what I expect Him to do. But maybe that’s the point. Not just that His ways are different than mine, but that sometimes it’s an unexpected response that makes the most difference to people.
