Where did we get the idea that waiting is passive? We have to choose to wait the same way that we must choose to act, except that waiting means we’re demonstrating patience, faith, and—yes, courage.
But the prevailing thought about waiting is that it’s cowardly. Or that it’s not productive or not accomplishing anything.
Not so.
Waiting is the most challenging, most faith-stretching choice I have ever faced in my life. If you’ve ever had to wait for something, I’m sure today’s verse speaks to you just like it speaks to me.
