I don’t like paying taxes. I try to have a good attitude about it because I get to live such a happy life in a (mostly) free country. But taxes are a hard pill to swallow, especially when much of it supports government initiatives I don’t agree with.
But if you don’t pay your taxes, you’re breaking the law. And it’s something that can really come back to bite you if you refuse to obey.
That’s the thing about disobedience. It usually means you are living on borrowed time before your choice to disobey catches up with you. And I’m not just talking about tax evasion.
